Geronimo Ji Jaga (Elmer Pratt)

Released in 1997, after serving 27 years in prison for a wrongful conviction, Geronimo Ji Jagga has worked tirelessly to promote equality, democracy and development around the world and founded the Kuji Foundation. He is a human rights activist and was the former minister of defense for the Black Panther Party which he joined soon after his two military tours to Vietnam that earned him a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He is well known as Tupac Shakur’s mentor and godfather and has been a valuable contributor to Hollywood for films such as I Am Legend and Muhammad Ali, due to his vast military, civil rights experiences, and harsh incarceration. He resides in both America and Africa that gives him a unique perspective on integrating both worlds.
